SÜPERFAD BATTLES NATURE WITH KUNG FU HD IDs

VOOM HD Networks approached Süperfad to design and produce on-air brand identities for Kung Fu HD, VOOM HD's martial arts movie channel offering a line-up of beloved and revered martial arts stars from Bruce Lee to Jet Li. The mandate: To produce live-action IDs utilizing Süperfad's Phantom HD camera. The result: A series of four element-driven films that embody the formidable physical and philosophical nature of Kung Fu.

As owners of the Phantom HD, with vast experience in high speed shooting, Süperfad chose the camera for the live action sequences. This footage was then enhanced and embellished using FumeFX for 3DS Max, Softimage's XSI and Realflow.

IMAGINARY FORCES CREATES MAGICAL SEQUENCES FOR "THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES"

Based on the beloved best-selling series of fantasy adventure books, "The Spiderwick Chronicles" opens with a riveting prologue created and produced by entertainment and design company Imaginary Forces (IF). Filmmakers also tapped IF to produce two key flashback sequences in the film, the whimsical end titles, as well as the teaser trailer. The prologue, flashback sequences and end titles were designed and directed by IF Creative Director Ahmet Ahmet. They were produced by IF's Kathy Kelehan.

"I can't imagine 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' without the incredible contribution Imaginary Forces made to three crucial sequences," says Director Mark Waters. "Ahmet [Ahmet] and Kathy [Kelehan] and their team added texture and nuance and mystery in a way that really sucks the audience into the world of Spiderwick."

COMPANY X & SUGARBOX CREATE COMICAL FAMILY CAMPAIGN FOR QUAKER OATMEAL

Company X & music house Sugarbox recently partnered with ad agency Element 79 to create a colorful four-spot package for Quaker Oatmeal. The campaign, touting the tagline "Every day should be this good," features quirky, documentary-style vignettes of families and friends who declare their love for Quaker Oatmeal and the man with the "white hair."

"Company X & Sugarbox elevated these spots from the expected style of so many testimonial commercials that are out there for other brands," says Element 79 Senior VP/Group Creative Director/Copywriter Chris Laubach. "[Editor] Barney [Miller]'s artsy documentary style and layering of images and voices make the viewer feel as if they are actually in the interview. [Composer] Andy [Hollander] and his gang resist traditional musical arrangements and come up with really fresh and unexpected musical approaches that add to the fun the director has captured on film."

ZOIC STUDIOS MEETS TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES is the exciting next step for the Terminator franchise and features striking visual effects by the award-winning company Zoic Studios (CSI, Eureka, Pushing Daisies, Cold Case, Criminal Minds). Challenged with creating the next generation of the iconic Terminator character -- the Terminator T-888 -- Zoic drew heavily from the films' legacy and created a photoreal CG character for the groundbreaking series.

Zoic Studios was responsible for designing the digital elements of the show, and worked hand-in-hand with the show creators to design the new model of the Terminator. The visual effects team was also charged with creating over 400 shots for the pilot and between 25 and 100 cinematic level visual effects shots per episode from the invisible to photoreal, stylized environments.
