POP SOUND'S PETER RINCON COMPLETES MIX ON SEINFELD SPOT FOR HP

POP Sound's Peter Rincon was tapped yet again to complete the final mix on the new commercials in HP's award-winning "The Computer is Personal Again' advertising campaign, featuring Jerry Seinfeld. Created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the campaign focuses on the testimonials from some of today's greatest innovators, demonstrating how technology has become truly personal and necessary in both creating their works and managing their everyday lives. In these new spots featuring the popular comedian, only Seinfeld's hands are visible, resting on the counter of a diner. He pulls up his view of New York City, the setting of his popular new animated feature film "The Bee Movie." He walks his fingers through Central Park and follows a base runner to the Yankees' home plate – showcasing the city that he loves in these two, :30 and :60 spots.

IMAGINARY FORCES LAUNCHES INTO FALL WITH MAIN TITLES & GRAPHICS FOR FOX SITCOM "BACK TO YOU"

Production & design company Imaginary Forces recently completed main titles and animated content for the new FOX sitcom "Back to You" starring Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. The main titles are executed in an illustrated style reminiscent of film title sequences in the 1960s, and take viewers on a journey from the cityscape into the inner workings of a newsroom. Opening on the Pittsburgh skyline against a burnt yellow sky, the camera moves through 3D space through the various sound stages of the network building. As each character and their newsroom personalities are identified by the highly stylized illustrations, the color transitions from the yellow of a setting sun to the blue and purple of evening.

"Sitcoms aren't generally known for their opens," explains Fuller. "The show's producers took a new approach - to give it a more sophisticated look, but to also preserve the idea that this is a sitcom. We conveyed this through the typeface, environment, and controlled use of color, which lightened up the mood and put us more into the realm of comedy. Special attention was also paid to repeating and integrating certain icons such as the thunderstorm and clock for cohesiveness in the sequence. It was nice to have this kind of flexibility and openness with the design."

SÜPERFAD CREATES A UNIVERSE OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR PLAYSTATION 3 & TBWA\CHIAT\DAY

Süperfad, commissioned to design the new Playstation3 campaign by agency TBWA\Chiat\Day, produced this spot featuring an animated universe that literally explodes from the console. In addition to showcasing the systems1 immersive and dramatic realm, Süperfad was challenged to create a commercial where every frame would work as a printed still.

According to the Süperfad team, the spot was designed for a "sophisticated audience who would appreciate the notion of controlled chaos." Using a sculptural approach, Süperfad envisioned a console from which hyper-real glossy worlds burst forth and contract, while the viewer is plunged seamlessly from one gaming experience to the next.

SCOTT GAILLARD OF OUTSIDE EDITORIAL GIVES A TOUCH OF "FAME" FOR NEW CELEBRITY SPOT

Scott Gaillard of Outside Editorial in New York recently lent his creative talents to a new Celebrity Cruise commercial, entitled "Veranda." Conceived by ad agency Element 79 of Chicago, the spot was directed by Chelsea Pictures' Charles Mehling, and features David Bowie's classic tune: "Fame."

The :30 spot opens with an image of a luxury liner sailing on the open seas. The voice over asks: "How does it feel to cruise with Celebrity?" Bowie's "Fame" breaks in as a series of images appear with vacationers getting the "Star" treatment. They sip champagne on their verandas, swim in the pristine pool, and enjoy elegant fine dining. Graphics appear over these images: "Recognized," "Celebrated," and "Indulged." The spot concludes with the narrator inviting viewers to: "Experience a Celebrity Cruise and find that every day…is another day…starring you."
