GASKET PULLS AN ANIMATED ALL-NIGHTER FOR THE AICP MINNEAPOLIS SPONSOR SHOW OPEN

Gasket, the new animation, design and visual effects company launched by Greg Shultz, recently completed the sponsor show open for the AICP Show in Minneapolis, MN. The AICP Show honors the best commercial work from the previous year. For the Minneapolis show sponsor open, Gasket combined stop motion and digital animation to recreate a humorous look at a creative's all-nighter.

"This year's opening was the best we've ever had," says Kirk Hokanson, President of the AICP Minnesota chapter and New Technology Chair. "It was inspired and entertaining and done with such finesse."

"We definitely challenged ourselves with the approach based on the timeframe, but it was worth it," says Shultz. "Developing the concept from the ground up, and infusing it with humor and fun - we were thrilled to create the AICP Sponsor Open, even if we pulled all-nighters like the project's inspiration!"

IMAGINARY FORCES CREATES VISUALLY COMPELLING RE-BRAND OF USA NETWORK

Leading entertainment and design company Imaginary Forces recently completed a re-design of USA Network. In late June, USA Network and SCI FI Channel President Bonnie Hammer unveiled the comprehensive re-brand for the popular cable network. USA is known for featuring off-network television shows, original series and feature movies, sports events, and broadcast versions of blockbuster films.

The USA re-design montage was first shown on July 7th on the jumbotron in New York's Times Square, and then officially launched on the network on July 8th.

Collaborating with USA VP, Brand Creative Lorenzo de Guttadauro and SVP, Marketing and Brand Strategy Chris McCumber, Imaginary Forces developed a network package that would represent the new USA Network tagline, "Characters Welcome." As a live-action package, the design reinforces the uniqueness of people and the network's new humanity-based position.

"The clients wanted their on-air identity to have a strong connective tissue, and they asked us to come up with something that would unify the look of the whole network," explains Brian Mah, Imaginary Forces Director/Creative Director. "The goal with this project was to find a way to visually embody the network's commitment to a character-driven identity."
