Venice Media District

Known as LA’s artistic outpost on the sea, Venice, CA has attracted a wide range of creative professionals and businesses in a variety of disciplines. The Venice Media District (VMD) was formed in response to the community’s changing business landscape, and in 2006, the Los Angeles City Council named Venice an official “Media District.”  

VMD thrives on creating networking opportunities, raising awareness through city designation and promotion, hosting several events including its popular Fall & Spring mixers. Creative partnerships with non-profit organizations are integral to the VMD mission, as its member companies are dedicated to donating creative services across the country. Lauded for its internship program in conjunction with non-profit organization Venice Arts, VMD has placed several Venice-area high school students at prestigious member companies including Ravenswork, Final Cut, and the in-house production studio at Neutrogena. VMD houses an array of member companies in casting, directorial offices, production, editorial, music, sound design, animation, voice acting, special effects, graphic design and photography.
