Michele Lu Kumar

Michele Lu Kumar loves to talk and she found the perfect home for this “talent” when she joined Hype – and the world of PR – in 2001. Since then, she has collaborated with a diverse roster of clients working in the advertising, television, feature film, music, gaming and interactive arenas. Michele’s hands-on approach, attention to detail, persistence and winning smile seem to win most people over – except her husband, Sean. And she types so furiously and with so much zest that the letter "N" on her keyboard was missing within a month.

Prior to Hype, she was the managing editor of a Beverly Hills newspaper, where she contributed 100+ articles and wrote a breaking story that was later picked up by the Los Angeles Times Metro section. Michele graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.

In her spare time, she loves to eat, talk to her pets (the only ones who will still listen), travel, dance, watch movies, listen to music, and read (though she won’t admit to what exactly).
